Earnest Pugh, a gospel artist, nailed it when he wrote a song called Trade It All. In the lyrics he says “Give me diamonds, give me pearls, give me fame and I will trade it all for you”. He was making his declaration of faith stating that nothing was going to still his affection for God. A relationship with God through His son Jesus, can’t be compared to anything else in this world.
Like Mary, I just want to pour my affection on Him.
