Years ago, I would watch my mom as she went about her day performing numerous tasks throughout the home. I carefully observed that as she cooked her food, she would quietly hum a good old spiritual… or when she’d wash clothes or clean the house, she’d say a few words to God like, “what a wonder you are”. Overall, I noticed that whatever the task she would assign herself to, she would always do it “with” God. It seemed as though He was her BFF. When we think of people who influence others we think of famous people with strategic platforms with huge followings, and without question that is influential. But God’s economy is different than ours; He shapes us with simple acts of service and commitment such as my moms, someone who practiced the presence of God by doing everything with God. As you walk with God today, acknowledge Him, He’s right there with you in everything you do.
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. John 15 :4
