Examine Yourself

So many times we are so eager to fix the wrongs in someone else’s life while we negate the wrongs that are in ours. The Apostle Luke says:  “Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?  You hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye (Luke 6:41,42). While we enjoy fellowship with Christ and commemorate His life, burial and resurrection, it is important to also remember He died for all and is judge over all.

Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup and in this manner of the bread let him eat and of the cup let him drink I Cor. 11:28.

It is the Lord Himself who will examine me.  (Cor.4:4b)
