Salt is one of the most stable compounds on Earth. It becomes ineffective when it’s defiled; so in order to maintain it’s effectiveness, it has to be kept in it’s purest form. It only takes a small amount to accomplish it’s purpose of adding flavor or preserving. It only takes a small amount of your spiritual character, wisdom and witness to effect a dark, cold world.
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses it’s savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. Matt. 5:13
