I Can Do It!

Contentment1

When it comes to keeping fit and maintaining our health goals, it seems as though some have mastered it while others continue to struggle.  I believe the latter; the struggle is real for all.  Some days we binge on junk food then eat our mix of greens faithfully, it seems as though we cannot find a balance… As we travel various roads throughout life, we are faced with many situations, many decisions… some situations last for a while, while others seem to linger.  Some decisions are instant yet others require more thought.  When the Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippians he stated, “I know how to abound (be full), and how to be abased (be hungry), whether he had much or whether he had little, whether in chains and imprisoned, experiencing hardships and sufferings… he said he learned to be content.

Though he learned much at the feet of Gamaliel, this particular learning came through grace.  It is this gift of grace that helps us through every situation in life; it tempers our mind and calms our heart.  Paul concluded in his message to the Philippians and to us:  “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  Philippians 4:13
